Gundam Models refers to plastic and non-plastic model kits depicting the mechas, vehicles and characters of the fictional Mobile Suit Gundam universe. These kits have become popular among anime fans and model-lovers, especially in Japan and in other nearby Asian countries since 1980s. The popularity of Gundam models increased in the 1990s with North America and Europe being exposed to Gundam through television, video and manga. These Gundam Models may also be called Gunpla (ガンプラ Ganpura ), a portmanteau of "Gundam plastic model". "Gunpla" more commonly refers to the practice of building Gundam models, rather than the models themselves.

- Because it is NOT children toy
Of course it is not children toy nor the Gundam is not for a children which below 17 until they know what they do or think. By that, it is a lie since we call it Gundam is not for fun. Yes, it is fun. Then, when you bought the Gundam's model, actually its not cheap you know. (except you got the PIRATE Gundam.) and why it is not for children?
First, its "COMPLICATED".
Second, the original Gundam come out with a Japanese (日本)Language manual and don't pretend the children understand it and the manual also need you to follow step by step assembling. BUT, in case for adult they understand because of figure that was helped. The japanese words stated still didn't understand. Seriously. Figure helped.

Third, to many parts to assemble. Usually children like the toy that come in one piece rather than assemble piece by piece."Hancur"translate. Hence, children also just want to play and be happy. But, rather children play the Gundam, it will become confusing for them to play.

Fourth, expensive. This is because of material of Gundam's model itself which there are some part are made from Poly Styrene (PS), Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene Colophony (ABS), synthetic rubber & Poly Ester (PE), Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) and Polyoxymethylene (POM). The process made is by using injection molding. So, its expensive. The quality also take part why it is expensive.
Other toy also made of plastic. SO?...Yes. It is because of some plastic are not suitable and harmful for children such PVC and PE to play.
2. Because it will trained you to be more patience
Yes. Patience is half of faith. Before this I am was the one in such hurry. Sometimes its good but to be more such hurry is an annoying. Patience lead you to calmness. Solved it piece by piece. Like, it make you more appreciated to what had you done. More rhetoric, its just like you put your soul into your work.
3. Because it will trained you to more focus
4. Because it will trained you more imaginable
Imagination is important as we as a human. We create a thing started with an imagination. Imagination create creative. More imagination more creative we gained. Imagine the imagination. That what will happen when we assemble. We imagine the part or piece that to be assemble (of course the manual still need to use and refer). The manual itself show the 2D dimension and "how to" process figure. The thing is we practically do and we saw the figure in our head the dimension that the parts are being install/assemble.
Furthermore, can you imagine how big the real scale of Gundam model can be? You watching an anime or cartoon. Its the big thing you know. Though, by doing Gunpla can make us realize to this 'big thing' since this is just a science fiction story. By the way, it can't be wrong when we scientifically imaginable about this thing.
5. Because it is bring more challenge
This is a one of reason why I'm 'die hard' about GUNPLA, which is short for GUNDAM PLASTIC model. By that, what are the challenge about Gunpla? The challenge is to
6. Because its enjoying & satisfying
I'm totally enjoying when it come to Gunpla. Nothing more than this. I'm do a lot of thing. One of it is Gunpla. Its a hobby and can store it as collection. Nowadays, there are too many Gundam's fan around the world either its in an anime or Gunpla model itself.
For a beginner, there are some tips from me. You can start buy for High Grade before proceed to Master Grade. This is because High Grade are less cheaper and easier than Master Grade. When after you getting familiar within this grade, you can proceed into Master Grade. This level is where you more tools to make smooth appearance in your model. By that, Perfect Grade is the more advance among all grade.[...] Some model need you to paint and brush by yourself. More than, it will need you more and lot of focus and patience. Also, time consuming regarding this is not just cannot be done in a day. Some model take two to three days or a week and depend on time you invest on your model. Addition, base on all that, it is also trains you about commitment into your work (unless you have other commitment to complete that).
